Ouran High School Host Club is a comedy about a new student called Haruhi. Ouran Academy is a school for rich high-class students, who are very different from Haruhi (who has only been able to enter the Ouran Academy through her high marks).
Upon her first day, while looking for a quiet place to study, she stumbles upon an music room that isn't in use anymore. Inside the room is the Ouran High School Host Club, a club exists to 'bring fortune to ladies' (basically, provide hosts of all types for ladies to have tea with).
It consists of five types: Takashi [the wild], Haninozuka "Honey" [the loli-shota], Kaoru and Hikaru "the Hitaiichin twins" [the little devils], Kyouya [the cool] and Tamaki [the prince].
The members mistake Haruhi for a male at first, and when she breaks a vase worth eight million yen, she is forced to become a host for the club in order to earn back the money.
The animation is good, no awkward movements or stiff limbs. The art is also fantastic, plenty of eye candy, nice colours, soft tones, etc. The voice actors are fantastic. Haruhi is voiced by Maaya Sakamoto, who sang the ending theme of Tsubasa Reservoir, "Loop." The twins are actually voiced by two different voice actors (see if you can tell them apart!). The opening theme is "Sakura Kiss" by Chieko Kawabe, and the ending theme is "Shissou" by LAST ALLIANCE.
Though this isn't exactly "yaoi", it is definitely slashable. The twins tease the girls with acts of incest/homosexuality. Takashi acts very servant-like with Honey, which also gives off slashable vibes. And, of course, Haruhi, who is pretending to be a boy, gets hit on vigorously by Tamaki.
This series is hilarious, there isn't too much 'depth' in it, but there are some serious bits. I'd definitely recommend it to any anime-watcher.
